Report: Packers Re-Sign Sam Shields

A few hours ago, ESPN Insider, Adam Schefter Tweeted that the Green Bay Packers had closed a deal with Sam Shields that was worth $39 million over four years, including a $12.5 million signing bonus. Packers beat reporter, Tom Silverstein was able to confirm this deal on Twitter. Shields was one of the more talked about defensive backs in free agency for the past few weeks. For awhile it seemed negotiations had stalled and Shields would hit the market, but that apparently did not happen and I am sure Packer nation is relieved.
